After 20 years working in Post-Acute Rehab, I opened my own running store!  I get to talk to people and geek out about running gear all day.  It's a dream come true! 😁

Coaching Plans

Take the First Step -- $99/month for 4 months (Billed Monthly)

This is a hands off plan.  We'll do a gait analysis, 3D foot mapping, deep dive into your last 6 months of data and I'll form a plan for you. Couch to 5k, 10k, marathon? No problem.  I'll send you weekly workouts through Training Peaks, you can comment how workouts go and I'll pattern the next week/month's workouts like that.  10% off products at Ogden Running Company

Find a New Path-- $150/month for 4 months (Billed Monthly)

If you're just beginning this running journey and want some direction about where to start, here's a good place.  Includes custom 3D foot mapping, gait analysis, weekly workouts on Training Partners, 1 time weekly virtual check-ins.  Other perks are 15% at Ogden Running Company.

Pick Your Peak-- $250/month for 4 months (Billed Monthly)

Everything in the New Path  plan but includes  1 weekly virtual check in and 1 in-person training session.  Also includes 20% off products at Ogden Running Company.

What to Expect

I love and respect running.  It is not a sport, it's a way of life.  The people you meet quickly become your family.  You get out what you put in.  I believe that running can regulate a lot of what's going haywire in life.  It's the best anti-depressant.  It's the best fixer of moods.  Contrary to what other sports will say, it's FUN!  I want it to be fun for you too.  So I expect you to respect it, but also enjoy it.  It's frustrating getting into a new "hobby" and not know what to do.  You make mistake after mistake and it becomes a chore that ain't that enjoyable.That's where I come in.  I can analyze where you've been, where you are now and where you wanna go.  

Proper Gear

There's a lot more to running than just shoes.  We'll take a deep dive into running gear 101.  Socks, shorts, shirts, hydration, anti-chafe, blisters, foot care, cold/hot weather gear.  You're gonna get sick of me :)

Data Points

Where are you now?  Do you even know?  It's ok if you don't. 

  • I'll do a custom 3D foot/ankle scan, slow-motion gait analysis to see if there's any abnormalities in your gait.  
  • I'll dig into your last year(s) of training.  
  • Any injuries?  
  • I'll recommend a metabolic testing to get a baseline how efficient your body is at burning fuel.
  • Nutrition: I'll recommend you work with a nutritionist to dial in what goals you want.  

Process

"You don't rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems."  James Clear 

  • I'm not a goals based coach, I'm a systems based coach.  What does that mean?  That means if you have a system in place and you are disciplined to follow that system and love it, the goals will come.
  • Is it wrong to have goals?  Nope.  But it shouldn't dictate your life.  
  • James Clear also said that if you're struggling with changing habits, it's not because you're a terrible person. . .it just means your systems need work.  
  • We'll work on those systems.  

Weight Training

Should runners lift weights? . . . ABSOLUTELY!!

  • Weight training is just as important as getting miles in.  Sometimes more important.
  • The older you get, the more important it becomes.  
  • Abs/core work is a major focus.  
  • This will help decrease injury and build endurance.  It's seriously that important.
